Local Food
Farmers' Market
The Highland Farmers’ Market, started by The Highland Center in 1998, is a producer-driven market, selling items that are grown in the Allegheny Highlands. The Market accepts Debit, Credit, and SNAP benefits and is open on Fridays, 3:30 to 6 pm from the end of May through early October, with specialty markets on the last Friday of each month.

Highland Food Coalition
The Highland Center is proud to serve on the Highland Community Food Coalition which brings together representatives from a variety of organizations and institutions across Highland County to address food insecurity. The mission of the coalition is to create a community where all residents have access to an abundance of food, whether that be through local markets, food distribution programs, or home gardens.

Food Events & Workshops
Throughout the year, The Highland Center hosts a number of meals and events promoting local products and producers including the Taste of Highland and meals during the Maple Festival. We also hold workshops and classes focused on health, nutrition, growing, and preserving food.

Commercial Kitchen
The Highland Center's full-service kitchen makes it easy to host food based events or for local food entrepreneurs to get off the ground. Equipment includes a walk-in freezer, commercial mixer, pH meter, 6-burner stove, and convection oven.
