2nd Annual Chili Cook Off
The Highland Center's 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off
will be held on Saturday, November 4th starting at 5pm. The event will include unlimited chili tasting, music by DJ Scott Smith, and a cash bar.
Entry fee is $10 per adult and $5 for kids 12 and under. Proceeds from the event support Highland Center programs.
The entry fee for chili cooks is only $5 and $300 in cash prizes
(1st prize - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50) will be awarded in each of the following categories: Spicy Chili, Mild Chili, White Chili,
Furthermore, 3 special prizes will be awarded for the following: the people's favorite, best presentation/tablescape, best toppings. This adds up to over $1,000 in prizes!

Chili Competition Guidelines:

Each contestant must bring at least two crock pots of chili.

Each contestant can bring along one helper.

Give your chili a fun name. Get in the fall and chili spirit and decorate your table.

All ingredients in your chili must be listed and clearly visible on your table

Chili must be cooked to above165 degrees and maintained at a temperature above 140 for safety. We recommend bringing and serving in crock pots.

You must provide any chili toppings or sides that you think are necessary
Other Information:

There is a $5 entry fee for chili cooks.

Contestants are responsible for supplying their own crock pots, table decorations, and toppings.

The Highland Center will provide access to electricity and one table per registrant.

The Highland Center will provide spoons, napkins, and sample cups.

The building will open at 3pm and contestants should be setup and ready to serve starting promptly at 5pm.

Prizes will be awarded in cash before the end of the evening.
